The AlexaDrone is a large octocopter that requires a two / three man crew: a pilot, a camera operator and, optionally, a focus puller. It’s a stunning heavylifter designed with the most demanding productions in mind. It’s a fully modular setup, able to carry almost every camera, from a DSLR up to an Alexa Mini or RED Weapon. With a maximum payload of up to 7kg, when paired with a MoVI M15 stabiliser, it’s the perfect setup to give wings to Digital Cinema Cameras and serious lenses, such as Carl Zeiss Compacts and Ultra Primes.
Fully Modular Setup
The AlexaDrone is at home in every situation and production environment. It can be paired with gimbals, including the Ronin-M, Ronin MX, MoVi M5, MoVI M10 and MoVI M15, depending on the camera and the budget.
Retractable Landing Gear
The landing gear rises above the level of the gimbal during flight to give you a full 360° of shooting. In addition, the gimbal bracket is separated from the main airframe with specifically designed dampers. This significantly reduces high-frequency vibrations to help make your shots clearer and sharper.
Alexa Mini and RED Weapon
The AlexaDrone was specifically designed to meet the needs of the most demanding cinematographers. The perfect camera combination for our heavylifter is the Alexa Mini or RED Weapon paired with lenses such as a Carl Zeiss Compact Prime, Ultra Prime or Super Speed… The lens is under complete control, and follow focuses up to 3-axis are supported.
Rock-steady Full HD Video Link
The AlexaDrone comes equipped with the Amimon Connex, a rock-steady, uncompressed full-HD video link. With a range of up to 1km it’s the definitive solution for high-end aerial cinematography and it can easily feed any video village with HDMI and SDI output.
